I listen to my body, I have abused my body from a young age, push past too many limits because that was socially acceptable, showing care and rest for the body wasn’t something that existed in my childhood, the body was treated as more of a tool to accomplish things, and the more you pushed past your limits, the better people responded around you, the thing is, I now suffer the consequences as an adult now, there isn’t a single day that goes by where I’m not in pain, so I do what I can, but listen to my body for the limits, I workout everyday, but sometimes that means just one exercise or just stretching, because my body can’t handle more, and I have to listen to my body with the specific movements, for example, I refuse to kneel when working out, it’s too hard on my knees, by listening to my body on that I know to keep off the knees for exercises

When your body feels energized, even if it’s tired at the same time. It’s also okay to start small and work up to big things. Set a timer for yourself, five minutes? Ten minutes? Work out for that time. If that begins to feel too way, set a longer timer, or start doing more difficult exercises. You don’t have to have a machine or do anything big and special, even going on a 20 minute walk is exercise (and fresh air as a bonus!).
