How do you focus while reading and absorb the work without distraction? Do you speed read and find value in that also?
To focus while reading and absorb material without distraction, create a dedicated reading space and set specific times for this ritual. Limit distractions by silencing devices and using techniques like the Pomodoro method—25 minutes of focused reading followed by a 5-minute break. Speed reading can be beneficial, but ensure you balance it with comprehension. Experiment with both methods to find what enhances your enjoyment and retention, fostering a lasting reading habit.
I use to have to reread sections over and over. Usually when that is happening, I accept that I won’t be able to read that moment because my concentration just isn’t there. Meditating seems to have helped my concentration a lot where now I can sit for an hour and read with only a couple times of distraction. I use a meditation app that helped me make it a daily habit in the morning.
