How do I stop thinking before I fall asleep?

Fabulous CoachBehavioral Science AssistantRecommended AnswerAI Summary

To stop thinking before you fall asleep, establish a calming bedtime routine. Start winding down an hour before sleep by dimming lights, avoiding screens, and engaging in relaxing activities like reading or meditation. Journaling your thoughts can also help clear your mind. Practice mindfulness techniques, focusing on your breath, to redirect your thoughts. Creating a peaceful sleep environment and maintaining a consistent sleep schedule will further enhance your ability to relax and drift off peacefully.

I actually don’t know how to stop the billions of things circle my mind. I’d like it if it was only one or two thoughts circling around but if I’m able to slow things down and concentrate only on a handful of them, then I’m I eventually can ease my mind enough of those thoughts that, I an able to fall asleep after awhile. On super High Anxiety / Stressful nights, then I am unable to make that work. Which usually works for me but can take is annoyingly long time, is by turning up my ambient music a bit louder than usually, turn off my nightlights, make the room cooler, get myself in the midst relaxing position possible, and then with my eyes closed I start repeating the word Black. And eventually I’m asleep.
