I go in and out of phases but right now, I very much appreciate the music as a support to the presence. I meditate every morning first thing to a song called Ardas, and it’s quite an enjoyable accompaniment.

If you want to practice meditation, you'll have difficulties. Hiding from the world is no solution as you won't be able to do it all the time.
I recommend you to let go of your expectations first of all and just observe yourself while keep calm… if you can of course. 😊
When something bothers you, it basically pushes a "button" on you… and that means a journey. 😊
Music helps a lot, however don't use it all ther time otherwise you'll have difficulties meditating without music.
Practice, practice and practice then experiment with new techniques.
Possibilities are endless.
