Do you have a method that helps you stay present when your mind drifts?
Staying present during meditation can be challenging, especially when your mind drifts. One effective method is to focus on your breath. When you notice your thoughts wandering, gently bring your attention back to the sensation of your breath entering and leaving your body. You can also use a mantra or a guided visualization to help anchor your mind. Remember, it’s normal for thoughts to arise; the key is to acknowledge them and return your focus to the present moment. Consistent practice will strengthen your ability to stay present.
First, keep in mind the result you will create; second, remember to aware your body and body sensations while working toward the result
Yes, Music is my method. But without it I often get drifted. Then I realized, that I was to dependent on external factors that without them I can’t control my mind. So, I have started training myself to control my mind, without depending on external factors like music. Of course music is still a good way and I didn’t abandoned it.
First, know the result (target) you will create; second, remember to aware anything happen in/on your body while you working toward the result
