At night after I finished my work on my PC I find it hard to just turn it off and go to bed so I usually end up playing some games or going on YouTube instead. How can I end this habit and make myself go to bed earlier?
To break the habit of late-night screen time, establish a calming bedtime ritual. Set a specific time to turn off your PC and replace gaming or YouTube with relaxing activities like reading or journaling. Gradually reduce your screen time by setting a timer to remind you when to disconnect. Create a consistent sleep schedule to signal your body it’s time for rest. Remember, forming healthy habits takes time, so be patient with yourself as you work towards going to bed earlier.
I know what I try to do for myself is set parameters. I will set a focus timer that will be for an hour and at the end of that hour I am done. And with my computer and my phone when I use a focus timer I can block other apps and stuff so I don’t tend to engage. I put my computer on do not disturb mode and I stand up and walk away.
