I find it easier to sit upright in a chair or on my bed with my back straing up against the headrest works best. This way meditation is easier when I need to visualise being grounded to the earth.

For me laying down was better too, until I realized it was because of my back being uncomfortable… then I bought a otomanic round cushion to sit in on a mat or floor with my legs crossed and now I can sit be comfortable and I actually enjoy it. My kind of meditation is reflecting on scripture, on gods promises and commands and just talking to the Father out loud or written about my worries, turning them into prayers and thanking Him practicing gratefulness (I’m a Christian Catholic)
