I used to eat sth light before like oatmeal or scrumbled eggs . Nuts are good Quick snack either pre and post. I like drink smothies and electrolits after + eat protein bar or meaty meal.

before work out, your obviously need energy, so I suggest a drink like Icetea that has enough sugar to activate you for the work out, and after that to the sizes, I suggest a protein bar or shake, and just a good meal full of protein.
