i once read in a book discussing the beliefs of buddhism that many people think of meditation as a way to gain enlightenment. but really you should think of meditation in a way that you do it for the sake of doing it for little to no reason. you do it to slow down, to reflect, to make time for your thoughts to slow and be deliberate in what you are feeling and thinking in the moment
