First thing in my stomach right after waking up is water. Then when I'm up, i really like to drink a miso broth. It's a warm beverage that really gently wakes up the body and also nourishes it. But I'd rather have my complete breakfast within an hour of my waking up.

Most days I try to eat within the first 1-2 hours after waking. I've made it part of my morning routine where I drink water, let the dogs out, make coffee, take meds, and start breakfast.

Some days I engage in Intermittent Fasting. For me, that schedule means only eating Noon-8pm. Those days I just do coffee and water from my wake time to lunch.
