No, it doesn’t need to be. Preferably yes, to stay full for a longer period. But it’s okay to eat whatever. Something is better than nothing. By eating something, even something really sweet, the stomach is prepared for the day. Then it will be alert enough to tell when it’s time to eat again, so that the mood can stay on a good level. This works for me at least, who often forgets to eat.
