Is cereal a good option for breakfast as long as it’s a “healthy” cereal?

This depends on the cereal, for a healthy balanced breakfast you should have some grains, fruits, dairy, and potentially some veggies. Low sugar and saturated fats would be best to. Cereal is made from a grain like if you get cheerios or something similar but they are also remind grains. The best option of cereal would be hot cereal or what most people call it, oat meal. These are whole oats some will cook it in milk adding s dairy product to it and most oatmeal like quicker oats have some sort of fruit in them aswell. This would make for a healthy cereal. Other than oat meal normal cereal is remind and not as healthy but would be an ok alternative as long ad it's not something super sugary.
