I am not sure about this however,I can suggest you to visualise a one particular affirmation while you are meditating.focusing on one thing always works better than multitasking.

I don't see why it shouldn't be right. If it helps you and makes you feel good and focused and doesn't take your focus from clearing your mind I think it's ok. I think its just important to be careful that it doesn't lead to a new train of thought and a new new etc.

Ehm, in reality, I don’t know. I just started meditating and I'm trying to focus. Sometimes, very often, my mind thinks without me noticing. Maybe repeating a matra can help! I'll try.
