I sometimes feel depressive in the “recovery” days following an intense workout. It can really knock me out of a good habit because I don’t feel like doing anything, sometimes for several days at a time while my body heals. Do you have any advice for dealing with this? I’m trying to adjust to my new exercise routine slowly without overdoing it, but any ideas for remedies or prevention?

I struggle with the same thing and have resigned to keeping it simple. Stretching, yoga, and slow body weight exercises. I’m hoping one day I’ll be strong enough to push a little more and get back to more moderate workouts, but for now, slow, steady, and consistent have been best. Also, walks are good.
