I have become passionate about exercising and fit in between 45 minutes to an hour every morning. I run 5 km 3 times a week and the rest of the time I do home apps. My question is, should I be using weights and if so where do I learn about this as I don’t really want to go to gym?

Depends on your goal. If you’re just wanting to be active, then no, you don’t need to introduce weightlifting to your routine. However, if you’re wanting to build muscle mass, then you’ll need to do strength training. There are lots of resources online for at home dumbbell workouts, including various apps, and you can get dumbbells fairly cheap online. Again, this is not necessary to be a fit and healthy individual; it’s just something you can add if it fits into your goals.

I believe that it would be to your benefit to start lifting weights. Lifting weights can not only aid you in your exercise journey, but also help with regulating your blood flow, as well as giving you a better sense of security about your own body. buy different sized weights and slowly make your way through them, starting with 5, then moving to 10, and so on and so forth. If you follow this recommendation and you get to a point where you want to do more, then you could try exercises like bench presses. And I know you don’t want to go to the gym, but I would greatly recommend you do so, but if you really and I mean REALLY don’t want to, that’s also totally ok. Hope this was helpful, and good luck on your exercise journey.
