For me, the biggest struggle is getting out of bed. I set my phone or alarm somewhere where I have to get out of bed to turn it off. As funny as it sounds, I even put it in the bathroom so I start getting ready after I turn it off. This way I don’t go back to bed. I also like using a positive song as my alarm. Before I fall asleep I think positively about waking up in the morning and what I enjoy about getting out of bed at the start of a new day. I know I am starting a new habit so I won’t always get up as planned but each time I do is progress. So on the days I’m successful at getting up I celebrate afterward. Going to bed at a good time and getting enough sleep helps too.

After “getting moving” multiple times in a week, I noticed how much I enjoyed it. It’s a time for
your body to move, but your mind to pause and only focus on one thing. I especially enjoy morning walks outside… Now I even look forward to them!

At times i get lots of demons telling me to not get up and do the routine , but …when i start to think about all i did accomplished until then it gives me the motivation to start at least start and when i start its easier to Finish.

Firstly sometimes I fail. The trick then is to remember even if I failed the one day doesn’t mean I have to stop all together. Tomorrow is a new day, a new opportunity to try again. Music gets me going right now. I’ll put on a feel good song in the morning and dance, drink water and make a breakfast. 👍

You just force past it and try to reward it with some sort of external motivator. Bit if you have demons telling you otherwise, I suggest seeking mental health support in battling them. Good luck!

I start moving slowly while still in bed and provide myself with self-massage.

A lot of it is knowing that it’s just one step at a time, and today matters. Even if I wasn’t able to do it yesterday or the day before, but knowing that today can be different. I just have to do it, no one else can do it for me. Tomorrow is just another today waiting to happen. You have to choose every day to make it happen. Be gentle with yourself though, know there will be slip ups, vacation, and people visiting that can throw off the routine. You have to decide to make it happen again.
