How do you feel if you don’t keep up with journaling?
Not keeping up with journaling can lead to feelings of frustration or disappointment, as it may disrupt your routine and hinder self-reflection. It’s important to remember that journaling is a personal journey, and missing a day or two is normal. Focus on the benefits it brings, such as clarity and emotional release. Consider setting realistic goals for your journaling practice, and create a ritual that feels rewarding rather than burdensome. This way, you can cultivate a lasting habit that supports your growth.
I dont really feel bad about it. I understand that sometimes im tired, or my thoughts are too big, or if i started journaling, i wouldnt be kind to myself, because journaling is written thoughts, and sometimes i need to let some time pass before i give attention to those thoughts. I can see how this might sound like avoidance, but if i can keep my peace for a little longer and not ruin my mood, i prefer to ignore those thoughts for a little while or even a longer amount of time, then reflect and help myself.
