How do you care about yourself when your sleeping schedule is shifting?

When my sleeping schedule is shifting, I usually would slowly adjust myself slowly and daily until I make it to the goal. I will eventually be used to it and be comfortable with my sleeping schedule. If I don't have time to take a couple of days to get used to it, I would sleep earlier than my target time so I will fall asleep by the time the target time is reached.
