What are some strategies you use to mitigate insomnia (i.e. how do you get to sleep/stay asleep if you have trouble doing so?)

I've been struggling as well. What's working for me is to set a sleep schedule, I am in bed laying down by a certain time. I also started taking melatonin at a low dose to help me create that sleep rhythm. After about a week, my body is getting used to it even before I take melatonin, so I've cut back how much I take.
