I personally tend to get distracted by thought, so I use sounds. That way, if my thoughts are racing, I can focus my mind on the sounds, and not the thoughts.
I have moments where I appreciate the silence….sound is good most days for me but can sometimes feel like noise and am unable to be in a relaxed state.
