Do you force yourself to eat breakfast even if you are not hungry?

Yes. I believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and sets you up for success. Regardless of hunger, I think it is best to always have something; breakfasts boosts yours body, mind and energy. I always view it as the most important thing to do in my day; fuel my body correctly to be productive and energetic.

I will often eat a lighter breakfast – a smoothie (banana, greens, peanut butter, protein powder)
Or else I’ll have a carb supplement if I really cannot stomach food.

Oh it's a good question. I don't think you have to force yourself if you are not hungry it would be worse than getting a good habit. But I think you could try drinking a shake instead of eating solid food and give yourself the chance to see how you feel. Remember being kind with yourself ☺️.
