Using your journal as a 'Hate Book' can be a way to release negative energy, but it’s important to channel that energy constructively. Instead of dwelling on negativity, consider using your journal to identify triggers and explore solutions. This practice can help you develop healthier habits and create meaningful daily rituals. Ultimately, journaling should guide you toward personal growth and achieving your goals, so aim to balance expressing frustrations with reflections that inspire positivity and change.

I have two separate journals. I use one daily and I use one only when I need to vent or let out a lot of stuff on paper. Every time I’ve vented or let out any negative energy in my second journal it’s always helped.

No I have never used a journal as a gate book because I believe that what you write and speak is what manifests into your life. So if you write gate then that’s the energy that you will be recreating in your life through your journal. Instead try to focus on positive energy and good things. Things that you can be thankful for and things that are going right. Also reflect on the bad that occurred but only through the lense of making it better

Yes, I started writing my negative energy more often than positive at some point. I can’t say that it is a productive way to journal, but it did make me feel better. Later when I would read back I was able to help myself more understand what could have potential helped me through the situation.
