Did it take you very long to be able to slow your mind down enough to make this a successful habit to have every day?

It took much time, yes, and still isn’t perfect, but that’s the most rewarding aspect of change. Seeing how long ago you started and the point you started at compared to now and the progress made (whether big or small) is what it’s all about. The change being made is for only you and nobody else. It never matters how long it takes to improve because bettering yourself can only be measured by how you feel about your journey to a better self. Take the time needed to reflect on these changes and if they are truly helping you. What’s working for you so far? What else needs to be changed? What do you still need to improve on? Tweak your plan as necessary and never give up if you mess up. That’s how the biggest lessons are learned.
