Although this might not be the answer you’re looking for, I’d say the best way to stick to it is to transition to doing it during a different point in your day, and if that doesn’t work, phasing it out entirely. Meditation can be beyond helpful for a lot of people, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all practice. If it’s making you uncomfortable both physically and psychologically, that’s a good indication that it might not be the practice for you- and that’s okay. The point of establishing routines like this is to have a safe, comfortable, routine, one that serves you well and allows you to make the most out of your time and energy. If it’s displacing you, it’s not the routine for you.
