I find that Pilates is wonderful exercise for my stiff neck and as rehabilitation from an injury that resulted in 2 compressed vertebrae. In Pilates mat classes there are some crossover exercises- childβs pose, down dog- but I find the focus on my core and girdle muscles to be deeper than in a yoga practice. I find I stand taller and stay injury free for longer when I practice Pilates regularly. Especially when I am able to take reformer classes (on the machine). I highly recommend for back and neck!
