Does anyone have specific stretches they do in the mornings?

Shannon Q.
Yes. I use Mady Morrisons YouTube channel. She does routines ranging from 5-10 minutes and tells you what they are for if you want to target areas (flexibility, full body, morning, bedtime, face massage, lower back pain, post workout, pre workout, etc)

Yes the whole body stretch after staying so many hours laying down and not always in comfortable positions . Starting with the neck the shoulders and the spine and slowly going down

Yes, I find having a quick streak routine works great for making my mornings go smoother, you can find some on YouTube if you don’t know much about that stuff!

Yes, on the bed, I do a big cat-like stretch to start, then some different leg exercises and stretches, and I end it with a resistance band arm stretch. It’s the same every morning (though I don’t always have time) so I don’t have to think about it much.

I tend to stick to the basics like stretching my triceps with an arm over my opposite shoulder (I stretch my arms while seated on my bed after waking), then touching my toes from a standing position that I walk out into my version of downward dog. I also try to do a deep plie so I can stretch out my inner thighs and open my hips. I hold each pose for a count of 20. Oh, also, I stretch my calves. They get tight while sleeping.

I generally just stretch out my back, then each arm, then both arms, then I get out of bed and stretch my legs and do some hip exercises. It’s the only thing that actually wakes me up.
