I’m trying to cut down on sugar at breakfast time, though I usually have cereal or fruit. What other low/no sugar options should I go for?

I think you should try savory breakfasts, for example eggs, you can have them scrambled, sunny side up, hard or soft boiled, you can have an omelette, to which you can add some vegetables, ham or cheese. Wholegrain bread with ham and avocado is a good option, too. Make sure to add some vegetables for vitamins and fiber, too. If you don’t want to give up sweet breakfasts, oatmeal is a great source of complex carbs which will fuel your body for a long time. Or you mentioned eating fruit, you can add that fruit to a bowl of greek yougurt and granola. (Granola, if isn’t artificially sweetened, could be an alternative for cereal, too.)

You can still cut down sugar from your current breakfast… Go for a cereal that has no added sugar, fruits are already complex carbs so there isn’t much sugar to worry about but try to ingest fruits that have less sugar… More importantly control the portion
