What kind of fruit is good for breakfast and can help you lose weight?

Urszula C.
Grapefruit actually uses more calories to digest than it provides, meaning it’s a great breakfast fruit for losing weight!

Recommendation is to eat a wide variety of fruit & veg. For breakfast it is too easy to eat the same everyday. Some research recommends 30 different fruit & veg per week.

Any fresh fruit is better than dried or processed fruit (try to avoid fruit packed in sugary syrups). Other than that, choose fruit you like – all have a variety of benefits.

Dragon fruit is helpful to stabilize blood sugar. Blueberries are also great for a smoothie or putting on some chia pudding

Loosing weight has more to do with calories in vs. calories out. If you're looking for fruit that helps most, you need fruit higher in fiber. For this, think demestic; apples, pears and dark berries. Tropical fruit is typically higher in sugar. Personally, I have a shake for breakfast. I use a banana, frozen super fruit mix(cherries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries), 2 handfuls of spinach, half an avocado, chia seeds and a scoop of whey protein. That means I'm already starting the day with 2 servings of fruit, 2 servings of veggies, tons of good protein and fats, and a plethora of micronutrients! Plus, it takes 5 minutes to make! I hope this was helpful.

I like berries on top of oatmeal. Berries are low glycemic, so they don’t spike your blood sugar and they’re full of awesome antioxidants.

Any and all are best. I think that papaya is nice and a selection will really help. Banana is highest in calories so maybe eat less of those but they are better than a packet of crisp!

I've heard that oranges and other citrus fruits are good at helping with losing weight. Bananas are very filling.
But it depends on what you like as all fruits are healthy and can help you filling you up

When I first started my jogging routine I wanted to clean my system and start my days with antioxidants and vitamins to lickstart my day so I started drinking lemon juice every morning followed by an espresso to give me the punch of energie I needed to go through it…
After I was finished I would mix oats a banana spy milk and Shia seeds to keep me full in the morning and sugar count down

Any fruit is good to eat because it has its natural sugars in it. I usually like to eat strawberries on top of my oatmeal oatmeal is a fiber that will help you detox any type of waste and give you energy as well. Hope this has. Help you in some way

I have a whole kiwi fruit every morning, skin and all, it’s extremely good for gut health. Try it to start with it in a smoothie, I have pineapple, mango & berries. A tablespoon Chia & flax seeds are also good. You need to incorporate lots of fibre in your diet. Best to get your diet advise from a trained dietician or nutritionist, like I did. My diet is an anti inflammatory diet for arthritis

I personally find bananas the most fulfilling fruit, even though they're not exactly low in calories (but one won't ruin your calorie count!). Oath is much better at that, if you like it. Keeps your belly full till lunch and you can add whatever flavor you like (nuts, fruit, yogurt or just plain with milk)

I would say fruit in general is not the best for breakfast as they are high sugar and fast releasing carbs. I would recommend slow release carbs like oats, so porridge, with fruit on top like blueberries, banana and pear.

Apple or green banana with a spoonful of peanut butter. But honestly any kind of fruit is very healthy for you and if you google it they are all good for different things in your body.

I prefer kiwis they contain lutein among other vitamens that has been shoe to improve eyesight. Also they are considered a superfood. Also oranges , high in vitamen C. Bananas high in potassium though are actual high in calories

Grapefruits have acidic value that can help you lose weight, but it’s not sustainable unless you eat it with something. In fact, most fruits are not sustainable unless you eat it with something. So you could have some grapefruit juice with a healthy breakfast, or try a smoothie bowl (they don’t have to be instagram pretty).

Berries are a great option! They’re low in sugar and packed full with antioxidants. It’s easy to throw a few berries in your morning smoothie, oatmeal, or just by themselves on the side!

Berries are a better option. They have a lower amounts of sugar than other types of fruit which can help prevent that crash feeling later in the day.

There is no such thing as a kind of fruit that can make you loose wait. At the end of the day you need a consistent diet that includes plenty of fruit and veggies. For that, all fruits are good, because they are un processed and that's always a good rule of thumb, how processed something is. So just eat the fruits you love and you'll be moving to a healthier diet.

Bananas are a good start to the day, they are a source of healthy carbohydrate which will keep you feeling fuller for longer. Will you be eating anything with it? I like porridge with banana or plain Greek yoghurt with some oats and a chopped apple 😊
