What is the best order to start cleaning your room?

Mattie N.
The best preserved to clean my room is to, take everything off my bed and make it, clean everything off the floor and put it away, put my clothes away, clean my desk, then I clean any stains on my desk or shelves.
Yana F.
First I always put away any clothes that are not in they’re place, then I clean my desk and couch table. After that I organize my things that are next the the windows of my room and the last thing I organize is my bed, after which I vacuum my floors.
Maddie F.
Start with the bed always. Makes the task feel that much less overwhelming. And as you pick up clothes you may set them on the bed before you find their destination. Shoes and any trash. Lastly vacuum and boom next thing you know, you have a livable space free from clutter and full of peace.
Filippa Z.
Big things first, clothes, trash just things that can easily be put away and then the smaller stuff. Books, random stuff on your desk or dresser is good. I always like to remind my self to not be lazy when I’m cleaning up and it will be nicer in the long run is I don’t just toss clothes in a corner or a drawer and actually put them away nicely. It’s hard sometimes, but putting. on music helps. You can put your phone away too, I always tend to get distracted easily.
Tess Y.
First, I put things in their places, throwing away everything superfluous and unnecessary. Then I dust and wash the floors. I love cleanliness.
Myasia J.
First take dirty laundry and wash it. While it's washing, pick up all the trash on the floor and around the room. Then put everything back where it belongs. Then take laundry out and put it away. Finally vacuum the floor.
𝑵𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒔 N.
Air your room, pick up every things that are on the floor and put them at their place, tidy your bed, then your desk and your dressing table and finish by sorting your laundry in your closet.
Grete N.
If you have stuff laying around in wrong places, put them onto the bed first and then start putting each thing into the right place.
Jeannine X.
I always start with dusting, then i do the bed, then night table , then vacuum. Sometimes i start at the wall with the door then work my way around the room clockwise . Any way is good. Just start. Small steps are better than no steps. Good luck
Gina J.
Start with your bed then go on to shelves desks walls and so on then I would advise you to Hoover the room then mop the floor.
Phillip V.
I personally first make bed, after that clean up any stuff that's around the room, for example:clothes, cups, charges etc. After that I clean dust off the furniture and wipe the floors 🙂
Virginia A.
I always begin by picking up any clutter or belongings not in their proper places. I make the bed every morning as soon as I wake up because I find it much more satisfying to sleep in a neatly made bed at the end of the day. After I declutter and pick up anything straggling about, I dust furniture and follow by vacuuming.
Bertram E.
First do your bed, then get rid of any trash or clutter that might been on your nightstand, etc. Then clothes (what needs to be washed, what needs to be hanged or folder, etc). Also goes for the shoes, acessories such as earrings, rings and necklaces. Lastly wipe down and dust the furniture and decor items a little.
Arleth N.
First begin with picking up clothes, then shoes. Pick up anything that’s still left and vacuum your floor if you have carpet. Afterwards, make your bed and organize everything after!
Laura Q.
You can do it from top to bottom (for example, you would clean your desk first and the floor last). You can also do the hardest task first, to get it out of the way. Or you can start with the easiest task, to feel more motivated to keep going.
Katrine Z.
start with the desk/workspace aka where you probably spend the most time- throw away empty snack wrappers and other junk and arrange all your stuff for a clean work environment.
then to the bed- doesnt have to be too much just pick up all the stuff that doesnt belong there and and make sure there's clean sheets and you're good.
kitchen/bathroom next!
Bianca N.
Sandra N.
Start with removing clutter, to free up space. Then wipe off any surfaces, then sweep and vacuum to lastly mop if needed.
Alice P.
Top to bottom, from one side of the room clockwise.
Top because a lot of dust or dirt can fall when cleaning, so doing it first is more efficient. One side of the room at a time helps you focus on a specific side to be cleaned every time.
Gisele Z.
Pick things up from the floor, that will make movement (and hence further cleaning) easier.
Also, throwing away obvious trash.
Ladybird N.
Split it into sections and then rotate the sections daily/weekly or whatever you have time for. Check out an app called tody
Lea A.
I like to start with making my bed right after waking up. Then i continue with my workspace because i will spend most of my time there during the day. After that i bring any dirty dishes or cups or empty waterbottles downstairs in the kitchen. I also vacuum once a week. Thats it 🙂
Lauren Z.
Well, of course start with putting on good music! Then I start with putting all my small things or things that don't have a home in a box. I then proceed to put away any clothes that I have out. After that I take a break, get a coffee or iced tea. Not too long of a break so you lose your motivation. After I'm done with my clothes, I put away big things that are out and make my bed. I then put away the stuff in the box. Lastly, I take everything out of my room (desk chair, shoe rack, etc. Don't move your whole dresser out ;P ) and vacuum EVERYWHERE. Good luck!
Jada Z.
First I get rid of dirty clothes and trash, then I wipe surfaces.Next thing I do is sweep and mop the floor. After I mop the floor,I change my bedsheets and pillow cases.Lastly,I turn on my humidifier to make my room smell nice.
Grace F.
Ill start with the small things so if it's my bedroom Ill do the pillows ,blanket , then I'll do the table sides and then the carpet or floor
Bruna S.
Start by picking up all of one thing. Like all the trash or all the clothes. That way you have a starting direction and don't get lost in the overwhelming unknown.
Emmy E.
Najlepiej zacząć od pozbierania rzeczy na ziemi i ogarnięcia łóżka potem biurko regały półki i na koniec odkurzanie i mycie podłóg
Jeryka O.
I always clean from top to bottom. Start with removing trash and displaced objects then I dust and wipe things down. Somewhat while I do that I organize and distaste things. I’ll strip my bed after things are picked Up and I’ve rounded up dirty laundry and then I vacuum. On tidy Up days I still follow the same pattern only I won’t dust every day or change my sheets every day. I mostly just straighten things up, put things away, wipe things down and vacuum. If the trash needs emptied I empty it. I find if you try to stay organized and do a little every day and as needed you don’t have to put much work or time into cleaning.
Anika U.
Start with something small, such as making your bed or cleaning up a small area of your room. Then, gradually increase the area you clean, say a desk or your closet.
Robin R.
I always start with making the bed. then there is at least a clean spot to come back to and rest. then I pick up all trash, then clothing, and finally finding places for everything left.
Ami O.
Make your bed first, it only takes a few seconds and instantly makes the room look tidier. Then I take up whatever is on the floor and put it back in its place. Next I organise my desk, put things neatly and fold any clothes I may have thrown on the chair.
Darren C.
Pick up dirty clothes, pick up all the plastic bottles, trash and dirty dishes, make your bed, put everything where it belongs and finally empty the trash bins and breathe
Ry N.
I always start by making my bed as my bed takes up the most space in my room so once that is clean everything is much less cluttered.
Rosemere N.
Start by doing your bed it is the best way to see some organization and change in your room. Then continue with anything that you have lying on your floor, chair os sofa. And finally your desk, drawers and wardrobe.
Ronnie Y.
first the floor and the clothes. after that the things on my chair and then my table. if i feel like it also my othwr table with stuff on it and my bookshelf and afterwards open the window for fresh air and vacuum your room
Keri T.
I usually like the clean and pick up everything on my floor, make my bed, and put my clothes away before I sweep my room. I do the sweeping last because I find it more efficient that’s just my way of cleaning.
Tyrone P.
You can start from smaller and simplier task such as making your bed first. Then slowly you move to cleaning the bigger parts such as picking up the rubbish from the floor and cleaning your desk.
Joseph S.
Start from floor if there's anything on it, then the desk, is usually the place where you spend the most time, and then just follow a circle sistematic path so you don't forget anything
Martina P.
I usually have very dirty room, everywhere. That was really unhealthy, ugly, disguisting and I feel like I'm drunking man from the street. I like clean house so I start to cleaning my room first, it give me better scents in my room and I feel more human against I used to feel like a loser.
Mobina I.
Since i don't like cleaning. I start by giving myself 5-10 minutes to clean. Whether i could finish or couldn't finish, i just stop cleaning on time. If you start with short times, It'll become easy to clean, you can add more minutes later on when you can. Then Good luck and BYE.
Katessa S.
I usually start with making my bed. I cleaned and made bed does a world of difference. I now understand why my mom always told me to make my bed. Haha Then I straighten up my dresser tops and dust anything that needs it. Pick things off the floor that doesn't belong so that I can vacuum. My favorite quote is" Nothing Changes, If Nothing Changes" and it's very true. You can and will accomplish anything you set your mind too. Best of luck to ya!
Leah T.
Begin by putting things back in their proper place by sorting what goes where to make it appear more tidy, then start the actual cleaning by dusting, mopping and sweeping the floors.
Efrosini P.
I think the best way is to start with things that stand out like a pile of clothes, used cups and stuff like that. Ther organise a little your space the way you feel more comfortable and make room for you to move better in it.
Antonius S.
The best order would be getting a better mindset and modivation to clean your room and it will make you feel more cozy in your home. And it's even better when you put on some music when you do clean. I just went on a walk/run, got home and cleaned with some music to make me work faster, now I am about to go and read a book. The things you do during you daily life will affect your personality and mindset.
Margaux Q.
Tha first thing is to put some your favourite song, because…why not?
And then just start cleaning the room and vining at the song
Luke W.
Start with tidying the bed. Next, in the following order: Floor, Desk, Shelves, Curtains, Tables. I believe this is the best order to start.
Kat N.
I usually start by getting rid of all clutter laying around in my room, lol. It helps me analyze what I should organize from there and put it into a better squence.
Jakob O.
I think the best order is to start putting stuff back in there places. After that it's good to dust off furniture and use the vacuumcleaner. I often do the bathroom after that and if everything is clean it might be nice to rethink how you want your house to be organized. So maybe move some stuff to other places until it feels right for you.
Jonna Y.
Du kommer känna att det blir fint efteråt och då känner man sig mer avslappnad när det är städat. Medans du städar kan du sätta på lite musik och ibland kan man filma i snabbspolning så att man ser förändring i rummet
Feli Y.
My mom said that she starts from up top to bottom of the room (wich is smart) but I just like to do the one I wanna do first until everything is done perfectly. I do get lost and distracted sometimes but it's fun. I like it
Charlotte C.
Do your bed. Because it takes little time and brings you already a small achievement. Focus on one task after the other. You will get faster done then you know it!
Arzum L.
First, look in your room and take out the things that shouldn't be there and put them in their place. Throw your dirty ones in the basket, collect your garbage. Then make your bed and tidy your room. Dust around and vacuum.
Kendall O.
I would say start by making your bed, then tidying the floor, than organizing any shelves or storage systems! Then anything else.
B R Nice Y.
So first you're going to clean your bed first of all then you're going to do your desk or table whatever you have in your room then you're going to do your wardrobe so if some clothes have fallen down you're going to get them up and put them in the place that they have to be then you're going to do your bookcase and like put them books where they have to be or clean your boudoir if you have and then if you have a mirror like you're going to claim it or like me because I have an armchair and a table I'm going to clean the table and whatever it is in the table I'm going to throw it away if it's not good and if it is like a decoration I'm going to put it in the right place and I'm going to make the pillow I have in the armchair to be fluffy and if you have something else that I didn't say here you're going to clean it after all that
Mhadz T.
The following step are my normal order in cleaning my room.
1. Dusting/wipe down shelves and tables.
2. Wipe down sealing and walls.
3. Sweep🧹 and mop the floor.
4. Change beddings and curtains.
5. Use diffusers or scented candles for fresher and beautiful smell.
Shelby U.
I’ve been listening to A Slob Comes Clean podcast and she has a decluttering system. I think it would work for regular cleaning too.

1. Trash
2. Easy stuff- things that have an established home. Take it there now. No piling! For my room this would be
-shoes
-dirty clothes to hamper
-clean clothes put away
-make the bed
3. Then there are two decluttering questions to deal with the hard stuff. “Where would I look for this first?” Take it there now. If you don’t have an answer for that then ask “would it ever occur to me that I already had this item?”

Luree Y.
I say start with the small things first and then build up to the big things. i always clean the clothes off my floor first and then my desk then dresser. in that process i’ll dust it off also. after that i take everything off of my bed and redo it to make it look nice
B F.
Just start somewhere. The most important part is to get up and do it. Pick anything that doesn't belong here and put it back where it belongs. And then continue. You can do it.
Liz N.
I try to start with laundry that is usually covering everything else that I have to clean. After that is either put away or in the washer I make my bed and put away books and organize small things. Lastly I dust and wipe down my walls and ceiling fan.
Missy E.
First I star with cleaning off the dresser an small tables.then I dust everydown an wash it. Garbage gets put in one pile then I pick it all up.last I vacuum the whole floor an wash it with bleach an all purpose cleaner.
Daniel O.
Start with small then big and remember learn to take rest not to stop cleaning
And plus you will be organised not messe hair 😊 hope you will follow
Johnni X.
When we start to clean our place or room, we start a new beginning from the day itself. When we are calm and clean our room, the whole day the mood will not swing… It's my opinion about cleaning the room.
Aaron S.
Take a tube (toilet paper, paper towel, etc.); Spin around a few times and look through the tube. Sort, clean, and put that away. You can do this!
Linda U.
I start by making my bed. Then I move on to folding and putting away clothes. Dusting my furniture and the sweeping, vacuuming and mopping my floors.
Wendy J.
first, i pick up all of my clothes, sort them into clean and dirty, and then i put the dirty ones in the hamper and the clean ones away. then, i collect any garbage that may be lying around. next, i clean off my nightstand and dresser, then sweep. last, i make my bed! it’s a lot easier to get this task done if u are listening to music or watching a show while doing it :)))
Hans J Rg O.
Start with dirty clothes and see if they need to be washed move on to your dressers and desks them go to your bed and finish off with your floors
Tarai X.
I would say after a good breakfast than meditation and a light lunch will follow a good energy in cleaning up or clean up a room 💫
Elmer U.
Preparing my bed to good sleep and make up my desk. After that, I preparing my clothes and backpackand few stuff for tomorrow
Sierra N.
Start with the bed, then do the laundry. Picking things up off the floor allows you to clean from the bottom shelves up. Clean everything first, set good habits, then organize, then filter out what you don’t need or use anymore, and clean and organize again. It always takes me a long time to clean my room, though.
Sarah J.
Ok so, you told your sister you worked hard on cleaning your room correct? Go look at it, does it look like a comfortable space? Or a or a spoiled kid's room who hasn't made their mommy clean their room yet? Uh-huh. Your sister won't consider that clean, and then you won't get your hair done 🤷

you have to work TOWARDS your goals, they won't come for free.

Monika B.

Remove anything that you can- dirty clothes in hamper, trash in garbage, fishes in sink. I’m incorporating a routine question of can I donate anything else that I have touched in a while. Make sure everything remaining has a place of its own.
