Is it better to learn and study from a book, another person, or by practical application?

For me it is better to learn by practical application. I use my practical knowledge to learn the theory rather than other way around. Learning from anither peraon goves you new perpective which is also useful but not as memorable. Learning from a book also helps to ingraine the theory
