For me, it's always about the the place, the time and my own feeling at the moment. I'm not a guru in meditation but I learned that to really have a concentrated meditation, you must first find yourself a place where it is quiet enough. It can be in your bedroom, bathroom or anywhere. Then find the right moment or time which mostly early morning or at night. But the most important is to relaxed yourself first before entering meditation. I don't meditate regularly but when I do, I will proceed after meeting all the criteria to be able to concentrate well.
I put all electronycs away light up some candles slightly open the window for some fresh air and make sure there is no any distracting sounds.😌
