How do you write your to-do list to encourage flexibility?

I just add small tasks which I think I can do.I do smaller tasks everyday to make small changes so that it will slowly become a habit and help me improve.I don’t do all the big tasks all at once because I know it will just burden me , won’t improve my efficiency that much and won’t become a habit. So I break big tasks into smaller ones and then add them to my to-do list one at a time.
