How do you stop yourself buying sweets in the shops?

I listen to my body and hunger levels. If I really crave that sweet, I take only the one I really crave for, that would make my stomach feel nice. I listen to my body. Surprisingly, once I listen I realise it craves sweets a lot less than I thought it would. Belongs to the intuitive eating philosophy, listening to the body and realising what it really wants. This philosophy was a great help in overcoming my eating disorder

First of all, you need to make a stern decision not to buy sweets. Make a personal resolve not to eat sweets and tell someone you can be accountable to. Another thing you can do, is avoid the sweets section of the shop. If it's hard to, then do not carry excess money. Write a proper shopping list when going to the shop and move with only that money. That way, you will not have any extra money to buy sweets. I hope this helps.

When I look at sweets I love at the store, I remind myself that it would be a short period of enjoyment but in the end I'm only sabotaging myself in the long run . And I would regret it . Think long term goals and how much happier you'll be when you get home knowing you had self control .

For starters, you'll have to think about the sweet as a package of poison, slow dead poison, you won't see results immediately, but you'll definitely feel the symptoms after a while, it's not worthy.

Second: "instead of this, eat this" , watch videos to make better decisions regarding of food, so next time you are at the grocery you can remember: "Oh, right, not this, this is better".

Third and final: Balance is key, you won't do it all the time, but once in a while won't hurt you, so don't starve yourself, if you want the doritos, buy the doritos, eat the doritos, your body will feel happy. Just remember to be honest with yourself. Neither often not never.

You're welcome.

Eating too much added sugar can have many negative health effects. An excess of sweetened foods and beverages can lead to weight gain, blood sugar problems and an increased risk of heart disease, among other dangerous conditions.

A lot of dedication and will power, honestly! 😅 I always remember that I can tweak certain recipes to my liking. Like, I'm doing keto. So, I'll find other recipes that interest me and I'll make them. And it keeps that interest! It's developed a new skill for me as well. Plus, when you make it yourself, you know how much you are putting in accordingly to your preference. And you feel proud that you've accomplished something yourself and enjoy the fruits of your labor as well. 🥰
This feeling is much better than just buying a sort bought cake and binging on it. You'll learn to savor the sweets you made rather than being inclined to buy sweets from the shop all the time. Limiting is a good thing but hard sometimes. But I think if you put your mind to it, you can definitely do it!
