I don't ever get bored during meditation, there's a lot of things you can put your focus on. But if you're someone who gets bored the key might be a bit of curiosity. Be interested in what your body does or the sounds around you.
If you feel bored, it might be because you are treating it as a chore than a gift. Meditation is a gift because it helps in grounding ourselves. Don't feel obliged to meditate, just let it happen unpretentiously. It's okay if your mind drifts off, just get your attention back to breathing. You can also try a guided meditation. That will surely help!!
