Sretch. That's the most important element. Find stretch routines on YouTube. But it is also important to keep a nice posture, don't cross you legs, and when you sit keep a little distance between your thighs.

I have a lot of stiffness and pain in my left hip joint so I do about 20 minutes of Pilates three times a day to strengthen the muscles. I also have started doing 10 minutes of yoga to stretch.
