How do you genuinely handle food portion control during weight loss? Does doing more exercise mean I go above?

I don’t tend to try to loss weight, for years mine has been the same even if I don’t take care of how and how much I eat, but doing exercise in a daily basis makes me feel healthier and in proper body shape

At first, i reduce the amount of rice i ate and add a bit more meat or vegetables. Sometimes i remove about two or three tablespoons of food from my plate. And mostly, i don't eat any snacks throughout the day, i only ate is three major meal a day
