How do you avoid wanting carbs in the morning? I have strong cravings for bread/toast/bagels.

What I do is i put what i should eat out in front to see when I just wake up. For example, if I know I'm going to crave carbs in the morning, I'll put my bagels and bread in a cabinet about my toaster so I wont thing about it when I first wake up. If I cant put what I should eat out on the counter over night, like if its yogurt or milk for cereal or eggs, I'll leave a note on the fridge or on the counter. Something like, "Ooooo an egg burrito sounds amazing right now. especially with some red pepper and spinach." I hope that helps. :))

Carbs in the morning isn’t bad if you balance it out with protein and fruit. An omelette with tomatoes to go along with your bread can be great. If you need to cut back on carbs try doing it gradually. Maybe less bread every couple weeks, or first switch to multi grain.

I don't avoid carbs. I choose smaller portions (1 slice) and load up on protein and veggies. I believe it's easier to maintain balance through portion control.

I don’t avoid carbs in the morning, but I make sure to pair it with protein like an egg and spread my carbs with avocado instead of cheese or fats

Maybe try eating more protein instead.. if you normally eat 2 slices of bread, try eating one with scrambled eggs and bacon

I try my best to make the most out of the meals im preparing but filling them with healthy nutrients. For instance trying to add fruits/vegetables that i love to my breakfast or taking some time to cook something that doesn’t contain carbs so my cravings can be satisfied.

I honestly don’t try to not eat carbs in the morning. However, when I do I like to steer more to fruits or hearty protein instead. This satisfies my hunger for carbs while still letting me feel like i’m eating a yummy breakfast!

I don’t! Carbs are important, particularly in the morning. You need energy for the day ahead. Don’t be so strict on yourself. Choose decisions that are good for your body, not just your waistline.

Well I like to get creative and experiment make meals fun that way it's not just a craving for avocado toast but a craving for something new

There is nothing wrong in wanting carbs in the morning. If you’re trying to make a conscious effort in eating healthier you can always find better alternatives such as whole grains or seeded bread. You need the carbs to have energy and it’s important to fill your body with good energy on the morning si that you can function all day.

I really don't have that problem, since I am very flexible regarding what I eat. Still, I'll give my best shot at trying to help you!!

Perhaps you could try some new stuff, mix it up a bit. I know it can sound boring or hard, but maybe, if you explore new, delicious, easy and healthy recipes, you can make your breakfast fun and exciting! I know it sounds lame, but it can be so great cooking in the morning. A relaxing moment and the best way to start day.

For example, I enjoy oatmeal because you can make several servings that you can save on the fridge and eat throughout the week. You can add all kinds of toppings: banana, pear, apple, cinnamon, peanut butter (or more original stuff ahah).

Also, I love a milkshake. I use:
-frozen bananas (the frozen part is optional, they just last longer that way and give a better consistency to the milkshake)
-peanut butter
-milk
-rolled oats

You can also try eating eggs in the morning. It's great with a cup of coffee.

Remember, you can search for more ideas on Google, YouTube or even an app or a cook book.

Note: I just want to say that bread isn't necessarily bad. You can try different kinds of bread. Or not eat it every day.

I hope I have helped in some way. Good luck friend 🙂
