Does it ever feel like you don’t have time to write your to do list in the morning? I’m a parent & packing two lunch boxes & driving people to school. I seem to do better writing my list at night.

It’s completely understandable to feel pressed for time in the mornings, especially as a parent. Writing your to-do list at night can be a great strategy, as it allows you to start your day with clarity and purpose. Consider setting aside a few minutes each evening to reflect on your tasks for the next day. This practice not only helps you manage your time better but also creates a calming ritual that can enhance your overall productivity. Remember, establishing a routine that works for you is key to achieving your goals.

Yeah, at night works best for me too if I think about it! I deal with the exact same thing. This also goes for packing school lunches and other “morning” activities like picking out my outfit.

Writing a to do list shouldn’t have a fixed time. It’s better to do this task in our own comfortable schedule and all we need is focus to plan our next day which eventually helps us to be on the right track from the morning itself. Thus, there is no perfect time for writing our to-do list .

Actually I think if you can find 5 minutes of time to write to do list , it actually can save you from morning chaos, and you would feel there is enough time to do this, since by writing it down you are planning the sequence to execute. So it saves time from being confused and then taking decision. Also listing tasks on clear mind will eliminate chances of missing out things, that again saves you from mental stress and chaos, thus the time taken to get out from it. Planning at night is also good thing, but writing to do in a fresh mind will give you a satisfaction of planning and executing from morning itself -A sense of small success. I am not sure whether you can connect with this, but this is helping me.
