Do people find it more effective or easier to stick with exercise if they exercise their whole body everyday or split up workouts of different parts of the body for different days?

Well I have been gymming for some days now,I would prefer doing light excercises for the whole body with workouts of different parts of the body for different days.For example you can skip or run on the treadmill for 10 mins then add your parts specific workouts.The word of caution would be not to overdo it.

I like splitting up body workouts over the day since I get something to look
forward to for the next time I go. It keeps me focused. If I do the whole body or something really big it tends to tire me over and then I break the habit for 1 or 2 days.
