I don’t usually have a lot in my cupboards. Do you have any suggestions for a very simple, easy to make breakfast that doesn’t require many ingredients?

I’d say yogurt with fruit and granola is good, quick, and doesn’t take much, what I’ll usually have is a big container of strawberry yogurt in my fridge and nature valley bars that I crush up and sometime I put blueberries or banana in there or just in general with it, if you get store brand things and you eat it consistently enough so that nothing goes bad it’s a good, fast, cheap breakfast, on top of that there’s a Dairy, grain, fruit/vegetable and (depending on your ingredients) a protein, so it’s also good for you but it’s filling enough so you feel good about what you’re eating and you’re ready for your day!

I usually just use milk, oatmeal a banana, half an apple and peanut butter or protein powder to make a quick drink. It’s been my go-to for a long time. Everything is easy to substitute or skip if I forget to buy it someday but they are also things that are easy to remember to buy and keep at home most of the time

– 1/2 cup rolled oats (sometimes called “old fashioned”)
– 3/4 cup water
– dash of salt
– 1-3 Tablespoons of brown sugar
Microwave for 2 minutes in a food safe bowl
Optional – add any of the following: nuts, nut butter, fruit, cocoa powder or chocolate chips
(This can also be made savory by skipping the sugar and adding cheese, garlic powder, beans, frozen kale, etc)
