While I try to meditate my mind wanders. I try to concentrate on my breathing but my mind observes the sounds and touch. If I close my eyes, I picture something. What should I do to this state?

Meditation is not about just concentrating but bring back your mind and thoughts in present, every time it wanders just tell your mind to get back in present. It's ok if it just keeps on having thoughts and you can't concentrate just keep your mind getting back on track every time it just reacts on sounds and touch. It's ok to feel such things it is a part of meditation.
