Other than eggs what is a high protein food you eat for breakfast?

Any type of meat since I’m not a big meat eater. This is getting me back into eating meat again. Also I love peanut butter or any kind of nuts.

I believe nuts can be a good source of protein, especially if you are rushing out the door. Get the unsalted variety though, because in general terms we already consume too much salt.

I usually have oatmeal and milk. But, other good sources of protein in the morning are smoothies with dairy, and/ or protein powder, etc. Incorporating cheese or nut butter into breakfast... like cottage cheese, or peanut butter on toast. Just a few ideas 😉

I honestly think protein powder is a godsend. I use protein powder in pancakes/waffles, oatmeal, smoothies, and farina. Peanut butter is also a good source of protein, and I add it to nearly everything.

One option is sausage. Lol. Applegate brand makes a healthy product that I make for my son. This may not be what you had in mind, but for me I use a Whole Food’s (called 365 brand) soy protein powder. It just comes in vanilla. I add it to Silk soy milk in a shaker cup that you can also get from Whole Foods. It’s the fastest way:)

I eat cottage cheese with a fruit sometimes, cottage cheese has high protein content. You can also eat a fruit with some nut butter like peanut or almond butter. I like almond butter more

Sometimes I like to have oatmeal with almond milk. I also add different types of nuts and fruits on it. It is very healthy and also quick and easy to make.

I try to look for milks with protein either added or that is naturally occurring. Since I have an allergy to casein I have to rely on plant based milks. A lot of them now have protein added. Otherwise I’ll add a dark leafy green to something I’m cooking.

You could have a quinoa salad. One cup of cooked quinoa , kale or spinach chopped into mouthfuls, tomatoes diced, lemon squeeze. One cup of Quinoa takes 30-40 mins to cook in a rice cooker. I turn it on before I brush my teeth, it’s ready by breakfast time.
