It depends on the day. Usually at least 3 tasks. I usually rank them in the highest priority. I like the top 3 method. If the tasks are more complicated I'll write the steps.

I dump everything I'm thinking and worrying about doing on the paper. I think pick three things that I have to get done and put stars by them. Then, anything else I get done is a bonus!
