How to do this when you have kids?
Balancing tasks while managing kids can be challenging, but creating a structured routine can help. Start by setting aside specific times for writing your to-do list, perhaps during nap times or after bedtime. Involve your kids by making it a fun activity—let them join in and create their own lists. This not only helps you stay organized but also teaches them about planning and prioritizing. Remember, consistency is key in developing lasting habits, so aim to make this a regular part of your daily ritual.
It does make it easier to schedule your routines for when the kids aren’t around i.e. when they’re at school/daycare, you have some free time, they’re napping or in bed. I try to give myself 30-45 minutes before my daughter wakes up and about the same amount of time or more after she goes to bed to do my routines.
