How long should your to-do list be?
The ideal length of your to-do list can vary based on your personal goals and daily capacity. A good rule of thumb is to aim for 3 to 5 key tasks each day. This keeps your list manageable and helps you focus on what truly matters. Prioritize tasks that align with your long-term goals and create a meaningful daily ritual around completing them. Remember, quality over quantity is essential in developing lasting healthy habits.
I love lists. I think start with a brain dump list. Put anything you think of on it. Then narrow it down to ten, then 5, then 3. Those three are you main priorities. Appointments count. Focus on one thing at a time. Start on the 3-item list unless there are super fast things you can do on the other lists as a break between your priorities.
You should have a master to do list where you brain dump ever thing you can think of onto it at regular intervals, but your daily to do list should only have the very top three to five things you want to accomplish that day.
