I love lists. I think start with a brain dump list. Put anything you think of on it. Then narrow it down to ten, then 5, then 3. Those three are you main priorities. Appointments count. Focus on one thing at a time. Start on the 3-item list unless there are super fast things you can do on the other lists as a break between your priorities.

You should have a master to do list where you brain dump ever thing you can think of onto it at regular intervals, but your daily to do list should only have the very top three to five things you want to accomplish that day.
