How do you regulate your sleeping habits if you are unable to sleep at the right time? (Insomnia)

If I can, I will change my alarm clock and wake up later than usual so I get 8 hours of sleep. If waking up later is not possible then I would try sleeping earlier the next night.

I honestly don’t have a good sleeping schedule. But when i can’t sleep i put on either a documentary to listen to or i put on rain noises.

No matter what you have to get up on time the next day. It's easy to justify sleeping longer because you slept badly, but just get up. This will make you more tired and more likely to fall asleep at the right time
