How I make sure is by thinking about the outcome. "If I do this then I will be able to do....." I also think about who I was before I started a routine and how it changed me.
For me, my first habit is one I was already doing (drinking a glass of water) but it sets the day up for further habits to be maintained
Wake up 15 minutes earlier. This allows time for morning routines without skipping because I don’t want to be late for work. And added stress to complete would bring negative feelings to a good task.
Usually once I just get started with that glassmof water (and check off the box in the app) I feel more motivated to keep checking the boxes. I also keep a mental note of how many more times in a row I need to complete habits to unlock the next one, which I find motivating.
you look at the end goal and see where you want to be. if what you’re doing atm isn’t going to align with your values, then maybe don’t do it, stick with the bigger picture no matter what it takes xx
I don’t force myself, I make sure that thing i work on, is comfortable and by time it become a habit. I read those inspirational books/chapter to keep myself motivated.
The first thing that I do after waking up is drinking a cup of water. Then I go in the bathroom and wash my face and brush my teeth. Then I stretch for a couple of minutes and go into the kitchen to prepare my breakfast! This gets me motivated all day long. I read, study, do my exercises....
Try keeping a journal on your bedside where you’ll see it when you awake. Remind yourself of your routine (and things you’re grateful for) Also pair activities you already do (shower) with ones you’re implementing (meditate)
It’s more how you prepare yourself and whatever you will need, the night before. I try to make sure that I have a glass or a bottle of water beside my bed, so when I wake up it’s one of the first things I see. Also, before I sleep at night I think what my breakfast will be and how can I make it healthier, if I can, so I’m looking forward in the morning for my delicious breakfast.
My morning affirmations is what I do immediately in the morning. This is how I make a commitment to myself every day to improve myself
