How do you avoid heavy carbs in the morning?

Andrew U.
I mean – define 'heavy'? I'm not sure carbs should be avoided. They're a completely normal part of a healthy diet. What's more important is to ensure that the carbohydrates in question are good quality. For example, do the carbohydrates have a source of fibre (like potatoes) or protein (like pulses)? Are they actually carbohydrates, or is it sugar masked as carbohydrates? For me personally, carbohydrates in the morning can be a great way to fuel my day, as long as it's not a carbohydrate that irritates my stomach (like gluten/wheat) and it's not sugar masking as a carbohydrate.
