Hello so I am a 24yo super stressed out mom and I’ve had the worst acne/blackheads in my life lately what are something’s I could use or do to help with this?
As a busy mom, managing stress is crucial for skin health. Start with a consistent skincare routine, including gentle cleansing and moisturizing. Incorporate stress-relief practices like mindfulness or short daily rituals, such as deep breathing or a quick walk. Staying hydrated and eating a balanced diet can also improve your skin. Remember, developing lasting habits takes time, so be patient with yourself and celebrate small victories in your self-care journey.
It’s very important to wash your face every morning every afternoon and every night that way, no acne or blackheads will get onto your face
Start with a simple skin care routine with cleanser lotion, tonic and ask your pharmacist for a specific lotion for acne. Do it in the morning and before bed, add a peeling lotion for blackheads and use it 1/2 x weeks. Other tricks: try changing the pillow cases more often, drink more water, stop touching your face especially with dirty hands, if you have a bangs maintain it clean or pin it away from you forehead, eat less hard to process foods... It’s difficult to give advice without seeing you and your skin, when you can, take an appointment with your doctor. Remembre to don’t be harsh to yourself beacause it’s hard to be a mom and taking care for yourself, plus stress is one of the main reason for acne and bad skin in general! So it’s normal and ok, everybody deal with it at some point, take your time for see some changes.
I am also acne prone so I get cystic acne AND blackheads. One thing that has helped me is remembering to close my pores after washing my face (double cleanse)at night. I do that by splashing cold water and fanning my face. I follow that up with salicylic acid, fan again. Then a good moisturizer. Stress will still come but having this short routine for myself relieves stress even if just for a moment.
Give your face a massage and make sure you wash it every day and every afternoon and before you go to bed so that way you don’t have acne or blackheads
