What do you experience as you become more of an expert at meditation?

When I practice regularly my mind becomes more still. I start to feel safe and secure as my anxiety improves. I feel depression fading with every affirmation meditation, and before too long, I start to feel a sense of overall well-being and connectedness.

The longer you meditate the more insightful you become of yourself. You become the observer and reflect from a Neutral position. You get to decide whether your experiences, good and bad , allow you to trust in the process that life is just as it should be.

You find yourself not paying as much attention when you know you should. The ability to notice you aren’t fully invested with your train of thought is helpful. It’s helpful in the sense that you can manually get yourself back on track.
Great quote from Sam Harris today that I took down says; “The ability to notice you are lost in thought will translate to ALL aspects of life.”
Shifting life from automatic responses to manual being able to shift gears, and refocus is amazing.

The more often and regular you practice, the better you become at navigating your life. Not only does it start to take you longer to be reactive in the usual ways when things go pearshaped, but you also return back to your center quicker. It creates a life lived in awareness, which means you make better choices and think clearer about events and experiences.
